Van Anderson is the program director for marketing, advertising, international trade, real estate, public relations, entrepreneurship and human resources management courses at UCLA Extension. His role is the design and implementation of over 85 different classes and custom programs in business and management. Van previously held positions in senior management and asset retention at Hillstone Restaurant Group and Fidelity Investments. He holds an MBA in marketing management from the University of Dallas and a B.A. in marketing from Texas A&M University.

Bianca Philippi is President of Creative Insights, a consulting firm providing expertise in education, marketing, organizational / HR strategies and developing innovative, socially responsible and sustainable business solutions. In 2006, Bianca founded The Partnering Project, a non-profit venture designed to help organizations across sectors conduct organizational needs and asset assessments to determine the viability of cross-sector alliances. Bianca has degrees in Art History and German Language and Literature from Boston University, an EdM in Non-Profit Management from Harvard University and an EdM in Educational Leadership from UCLA.

Ing Phansavath is a Program Manager in UCLA Extension’s department of Business, Management & Legal Programs, where she facilitates the marketing, budgeting, and
curriculum development for a diverse portfolio of over 300 courses in Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Human Resources Management, International Trade & Commerce and Hospitality. Prior to joining UCLA Extension, she was the Director of Programs for the Asian Pacific American Dispute Resolution Center in Los Angeles, where she oversaw all aspects of community mediation, educational outreach and grant compliance. Ing holds a B.A. in International Development Studies from UCLA and a M.A. in International Development and Social Change from Clark University.

Serafina Palazzolo is a National Sales Director at Stuart Weitzman, a well-established brand of luxury designer shoes. Acting as company spokesperson for the brand, she manages sales, customer service and product performance for leading national accounts. She has deep expertise in retail sales, merchandising and consumer decision-making processes. Charlie Lee is a senior Product Engineer at a semiconductor company and has nine years of professional work experience. He is currently pursuing an MBA degree with a marketing emphasis at Pepperdine University and plans to transition into CPG marketing upon graduation. Charlie has an MSE in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.A. in German and Physics from SUNY Binghamton, NY.

Len Rosenthal is currently the Executive Director of the Office of Public Affairs for University Health Centers/Southern California University of Health Sciences, where he leads the efforts to increase the visibility and strengthen the reputation of the organization. He has held key marketing positions with leading technology companies including Cobham and Infotrieve. He received his MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, and his BS from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Greg Imlay is the Treasury Communications and Product Manager at City National Bank in Los Angeles and serves the SoCal AMA as VP of Membership.  He has previously held marketing management positions at Intuit Payment Solutions, Electronic Clearing House, Transamerica Life Insurance and Sanwa Bank California (now Bank of the West).  In addition to his Bachelor Degree in English and Journalism, he has attended numerous marketing and journalism classes at UCLA Extension.

Paul Wheadon is Executive Director for SoCalAMA. He is responsible for the day-to-day operation of So Cal AMA, maintains all Chapter corporate records, and supplies all Chapter-related documentation to incoming board members. Paul is responsible for all Chapter meeting logistics and works with the Board to resolve Chapter problems as they arise.

Sharon Silverstein is the Bookkeeper for SoCalAMA. Sharon keeps track of all financial transactions, prepares monthly financial reports, and consults with the Board of Directors to prepare the annual budget. Sharon works with Paul Wheadon, Executive Director, to maintain continuity from one fiscal year to the next with each year’s Board of Directors.
